Annual Family Contribution

Help every Con High student take the stage

Your annual contribution pays for the concerts, accompanists, dinners and community moments that make Con High special. Everything is run by volunteer parents and carers, and every dollar goes back to students.

Voluntary, not a fee. Give whatever suits your family, more or less.

Supporting School & Student Essentials

The P&C supports our school with what the Department of Education cannot. That lets the school keep its focus on tuition and the quality of education, with nothing compromised. We help make sure essentials are funded, such as new musical instruments, so students’ needs are met.

Where your contribution goes

Music on stage

Student soloist concerts

The P&C funds and manages one solo concert for each year group every year. Each soloist gets a free half-hour rehearsal with a school accompanist, then performs with professional accompaniment. Students can also accompany each other, so more students get time on stage.

Concert refreshments

Meals and refreshments for students at these concerts, and for staff and volunteers on the night.

Dinner on concert nights

A shared dinner on the first evening of the end-of-term concerts for the whole school, including students, staff and volunteers.

A community that welcomes everyone

Year 12 farewell

Refreshments for Year 12 students and their families at their farewell celebrations.

Welcoming new families

Refreshments and a warm welcome at orientation for new students and their families.

Small & Large Projects

From practical improvements, such as outdoor shelters that create usable spaces in all weather, to everyday essentials like vacuum cleaners, we support projects that make a difference to students.

Student Feedback Form

Through our Student Feedback form, every student has the opportunity to bring creative ideas and project proposals to the P&C. We work with the school to assess feasibility, explore funding options and help bring worthwhile ideas to life.

Second-hand uniform shop

We run the school’s second-hand uniform shop so families can find affordable pre-loved uniforms. Our uniform subcommittee is also working on better value and easier buying.

The work behind the scenes

Funding for good ideas

Staff, students and families can submit a proposal through our online form. Members decide at each general meeting, and the form is open all year.

Website and email

A P&C website with committee details and meeting resources, plus dedicated emails for soloist concerts, uniforms and the Treasurer, so families always know who to ask.

Join meetings from anywhere

A hybrid meeting camera and microphone, so parents and carers who can’t be on site can still take part.

Your direct support matters

We run occasional fundraisers, including merchandise sales, second-hand uniform sales and social evenings, but most of our funding comes from the generosity of our parent and carer community.

In previous years the school kindly helped collect contributions. Unfortunately that is no longer possible, so your direct support matters more than ever.

How we look after your money

  • Members set the budget. Budgets are approved at general meetings and are upper limits, not targets.
  • Every dollar is tracked. Our Treasurer tracks spending against each budget line all year.
  • Everything has a receipt. Purchases are backed by itemised receipts, and reimbursements follow a set process.

Make your contribution

Suggested voluntary contribution: $250 per family. Give more or less as suits your family. Every contribution genuinely makes a difference.
