Conservatorium High School is strengthened by the involvement of parents and carers who come together through the P&C to support the school and its students. Every contribution matters, whether you have a little time to offer occasionally or would like to take on a more active role.
There are many ways to get involved throughout the year, from attending a P&C meeting or volunteering at an event, to joining a working group or taking on an Executive Committee role. We welcome your ideas, skills, time and enthusiasm.
It all begins with your willingness to get involved. Here are some of the ways you can participate:
Be WWCC Certified
As per the school directive, parents and volunteers accessing the school site for P&C activities are required to hold a current, verified Working With Children Check (WWCC).
This includes activities requiring access to school premises, such as accessing the second-hand uniform rack or school kitchen, organising Soloist events, and participating in any other onsite P&C event or activity.
A WWCC is free for volunteers and is simple to obtain. Just complete the WWCC online application
Attend P&C Meetings
P&C meetings are held at least once a term in a hybrid format, so you can join either in person or online. All parents and carers are welcome to attend P&C meetings, whether or not they are P&C members.
Financial members receive meeting notices, agendas, previous meeting minutes and committee reports ahead of meetings, and have the right to vote on motions and elections, subject to the P&C Constitution and applicable requirements.
Volunteer Your Time
The P&C has a uniform subcommittee and a number of working groups that help run key programs and activities throughout the year. We are always happy to welcome more volunteers.
You can self-nominate or nominate for a role at any P&C meeting, or simply contact the relevant person listed under Committee Contacts.

Run for P&C Executive Office
Executive Committee positions, including President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary and other roles, are elected each year by financial members at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Term 4.
Any financial member may nominate themselves or another eligible member. Keep an eye on meeting notices and the newsletter for nomination details and dates.
